TWO POSTAL WORKERS WERE ATTACKED AND ROBBED JUST MINUTES APART, SENDING ONE OF THEM TO THE HOSPITAL. DEFINITELY NOT THE FIRST TIME. I MEAN, I WISH I COULD SAY IT’S GOING TO BE THE LAST, BUT I DON’T THINK SO. BOTH CARRIERS WERE ASSAULTED AND THEIR KEYS WERE TAKEN FROM THEM. THEY WERE ROBBED AND ASSAULTED. THE SUSPECT HAD A WEAPON. ACCORDING TO THE USPS POSTAL INSPECTOR, THERE IS AN UPTICK OF SUSPECTS TARGETING POSTAL KEYS IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. HE WAS THREATENED WITH HIS LIFE AND SO HIS IN HIS MIND, HE DIDN’T KNOW IF HE HAD A GUN OR SOMETHING. SO YOU NEVER KNOW. AFTER THE ASSAULT OF TWO OF THEIR COWORKERS, MAIL CARRIERS AND STOCKTON ARE NOW DRIVING AROUND WITH CAUTION. YOU COULD TELL HE WAS A LITTLE SHAKEN. HE DIDN’T. YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES WE DON’T SHOW OUR FEELINGS, BUT YEAH, SO WE JUST ALL KIND OF TOLD HIM THERE WAS A NUMBER OF TAKE YOUR TIME, YOU KNOW, MAKE SURE YOU’RE RIGHT BEFORE YOU TRY TO COME BACK. After the assault and robbery of two of their co-workers, mail carriers in Stockton are now driving around with caution.One mail carrier, who wants to remain anonymous, said he's been working for the postal service for more than two decadesHe said this is not the first time one of his colleagues was hurt on the job. According Jeff Fitch, a USPS postal inspector, there is an uptick of suspects targeting postal keys in Northern California.
