"Libraries have always been a refuge for me. They also provide a wonderful place to settle in and work on my writing. So last summer, my husband and I decided to visit (and work in) every single library in Denver, and many in the surrounding counties. That's close to 40 libraries now--from the downtown main library to the smallest neighborhood branches, including the five wonderful original Carnegie buildings that still remain. Many we have returned to time and again. In addition, an eye-opening side benefit has been exploring the vast variety and diversity of neighborhoods, parks, and restaurants, I would never have noticed before."
